Work that leaves your
gate shouldn't leave
your system.
Exchanger bundles. Valve repairs. Pipe fabrication. A meaningful share of every turnaround happens in buildings you've never been to, run by people who don't work for you.

Once the work leaves the gate, you're blind. Status comes from a phone call to the shop that's already behind. Documentation shows up whenever it shows up. Every shop reports differently, so someone on your side spends the event chasing four vendors in four formats.
What that actually costs
On one job, hundreds of pipe spools came back without proper labeling or documentation — no PSI reports, no PMI results, spool numbers missing.
Nobody could tell what had arrived and what hadn't. Re-matching, verifying and tagging it all took days that weren't in the plan, and none of it was ready for the installer when he needed it.
The work was done. It just couldn't be used.
Drawing revisions are the same problem in reverse. If an updated drawing doesn't reach the shop in time, they keep fabricating to a superseded one — and you pay twice.
Forge
Forge puts the shop inside your system.
- Milestones and status, updated by the shop as work progresses
- Photos, video and documentation captured as it's produced — PSI reports, PMI results, MTRs
- Barcoded and tagged before it ships, with chain of custody from release through return
- Delays, problems and proposed alternatives raised in the system, with approvals recorded
- Current drawing revisions pushed out, so nobody fabricates to an old one
Four shops, four reporting methods. Status by phone call. Documentation arrives with the truck, or after it. The only way to really know is to drive there.
One view across every shop. Milestones and documentation captured as the work happens, with a record that travels with the equipment.
“Our vendors won't use it”
They already do.
Multiple shops run on Forge today, and several use it for their other clients' reporting too — because it's simpler than what they had, and it lets them give on-demand status without fielding calls all day. Most shops are trained in about 30 minutes, and we handle the training and support.
How it works
Forge is part of Pilot, and it covers turnarounds, capital projects and daily maintenance — the same shops, all year.
PBF's Torrance Refinery runs pipe fabrication on Forge today.
